Hello, I’m Renee
I’m a mindfulness teacher and Jewish educator, passionate about meditation, spirituality and elevated consciousness. I have lived and worked on three continents. My multi-national background and international experiences have greatly influenced who I am and profoundly impacted my life.
Yoga and meditation have always been a part of my path. Moving from one continent to another under often-stressful circumstances, I searched for ways to stay centered, present and whole while deepening inner kindness and compassion, finding what was meaningful to me on a deep level.
In 1998, I had the privilege of studying with the renowned meditation teacher Shinzen Young, who I still revere and whose techniques have been enlightning. I was drawn to his precise, practical and scientific system, his comprehensive array of practices, and his approach of drawing from a wide range of traditions.
The more I practiced and studied meditation, the more I wanted to learn. My desires for a meaningful meditation practice, and ways to share my knowledge with others led me to one of the most transformational experiences of my life. In 2015, I spent six months in an intensive mindfulness training and facilitation course at the highly acclaimed Center for Mindful Learning in Burlington, Vermont. I have since continued to study with Jewish meditation teachers, There is a reviving movement of Jewish meditation based on ancient teaching of Rabbis and philosophers, learning new approaches to Jewish thoughts is exciting. One of my most rewarding experiences has been working in the public schools, teaching mindfulness to teachers and children. I am continually amazed by how well they learned the basic meditation practices and what a great impact it had on their lives. I learned a tremendous amount during those six months and since that time have enthusiastically shared what I learned with others.
My mission as a mindfulness meditation teacher is to share my knowledge and assist others in achieving a deep awareness and stillness, awakening and peace that comes through meditation.
